Overview

Moka & Co, located on Fremont Boulevard in California, is a refreshing addition to the local coffee scene, bringing a distinct Yemeni flair to its offerings. This coffee shop creates a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for both casual hangouts and relaxed business meetings. The space is airy with a subtle Middle Eastern touch in the decor, emphasizing intimacy with mostly two-person tables, which makes it ideal for couples or small groups but might be a bit challenging during peak hours for larger gatherings.

The highlight at Moka & Co is undoubtedly its diverse coffee selection, which features unique blends uncommon in most cafes. From spiced Yemeni classics like Mufawar and Jubani to specialty offerings such as the saffron and pistachio lattes, the café brings bold, intriguing flavors to the table. The Mufawar coffee, infused with cardamom and spices, stands out as a rich and aromatic choice for avid coffee lovers seeking something beyond the standard espresso. Meanwhile, the saffron latte offers a delicate yet distinct taste of the prized spice, although some might find the coffee notes milder in this blend.

Complementing their signature drinks are enticing refreshers like matcha teas and vibrant fruit infusions, all crafted with care. The pistachio matcha latte has drawn praise for its smoothness, despite some feedback about the pistachio syrup’s slight bitterness. Beyond beverages, Moka & Co offers savory bites such as the chicken fatayer— a spiced minced chicken pastry—though occasional service hiccups, like delayed warming and longer wait times, have been noted, especially during busy weekends.

The customer experience here is marked by genuine hospitality, with friendly staff who are passionate about their craft and patrons. The café’s charm lies in its blend of cultural authenticity and a relaxed environment where guests can enjoy unique coffee varieties or share moments with friends and family. Parking convenience and a cozy vibe add to its appeal, making it a standout spot in Fremont for those seeking both traditional Yemeni coffee and contemporary café culture.

In summary, Moka & Co delivers a blend of bold flavors, cultural richness, and comfort. It’s a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts eager to explore Yemeni coffee traditions within a modern, inviting setting.

Pistachio latte is pretty good, wish they did not add the pistachio syrup which was a little bitter. Saffron latte straight up tastes like saffron liquid very mild coffee flavor in that one. We also tried the Mufawer coffee, which was spiced coffee, interesting and bold. They were out of saffron milk cake but we also ordered the chicken fatayer (flat pastry with minced spiced chicken filling) when it came out it was not warmed up completely, not sure if it was sitting before it was brought to us as the place had the AC blasting and the staff had their hands full. The wait was quite long (20-25mins) and there was a line around noon on a Sunday. I wish the service was faster and that they clearly label if something is out of stock. Overall the coffee was different and tasted good.

We stopped by this coffee shop and really liked it. I got the iced pistachio latte and my husband ordered the hot mocha spice latte. Both drinks were really good and we enjoyed them. The place itself was cute and had a nice vibe. Overall, it’s a good café and worth visiting.

Just attended their first day of opening their coffee shop. They serve Yemeni coffee that tastes really smooth. I had their iced pistachio latte and their Dubai chocolate cheesecake. Both were excellent. The staff and owner are very friendly and care about their customers. Great selections of coffees and desserts. Great place to have a relaxing business meeting or chilling with your friends. The decor is very airy and inviting. Free parking in front. A great addition to the Fremont coffee community. Highly recommend!

Another Yemeni Coffee in the bay! Simple yet warm atmosphere in here. Hints of middle eastern themed interior. Quite spacious but more emphasis on 2-person tables. Might be challenging for groups and families to find space especially during peak hours. Already see a lot of chairs being moved from empty tables. We bought Mufaw’ar Coffee(hot), had a hint of cardamom. Perfect for avid coffee drinkers. And also bought Iced Biscoff Latte with light sugar. Perfect balance of sweetness from biscoff and the bitterness from coffee. Overall, more reasonable than the Qamaria. Will visit again! Disclaimer: Laptop mafia have found their way even here :)

New coffeeshop in Fremont. It is still on soft opening and will be grand opening on November 2. It is larger coffee shop with plenty of seating. There are unique coffee and tea from the menu. It has plenty of pastries also but since it still on soft opening, they don't display the pastries and just the name but you can order. If you are new to these type of pastries, it is hard to make a choice. We the ice pistachio latte is really good. It is not that sweet. Ice bischoff latte is also unique. Adenia Chai is on the light side. Dubai baklava and Dubai cheesecake are good. Since it is on soft opening, we need to pardon the slowness. It was good visit and will visit again after grand opening. It has free wifi.

We Visited Moka & Co Café during their soft opening loved the bright, airy ambiance, perfect for studying, working, or catching up with friends. We tried the Moka Specialty Spice Latte (cold) something unique, Yemeni Adeni Chai Pot, strong and flavorful, and the Dubai Pistachio Latte, (cold) trendy but could be creamier; you can ask for extra pistachio syrup and less ice. The Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake was rich and delicious, the Chicken Roll was flavorful, and the Honeycomb with Zaatar offered a nice savory-sweet balance. Overall, a cozy new spot with great potential once fully launched.
